History

1940’s

  • 1946

    Kawada Ironworks founded.

1950’s

  • 1952

    Reorganized into a stock company Kawada Ironworks Ltd. Automotive parts processing for Toyo Kogyo (now Mazda Motor Corp.).

  • 1954

    Establishment of the Fuchu Plant (25,593m2).

1960’s

  • 1964

    Establishment of the Senogawa Plant (81,137m2).

  • 1968

    Introduction of high speed automatic hot forging machine made by Hatebur.

  • 1969

    Company Headquarters completed (3,146m2).

1970’s

  • 1974

    Securing the total integration System of forging and machining production.

1980’s

  • 1987

    Additional installation of hot forging machine of 1600t and 2500t. Co-generation generator completed..

1990’s

  • 1990

    Start of knuckle processing.

  • 1991

    Establishment of the automatic process line of front wheel hub. Completed knuckle processing line. Completed new propeller shaft assembly plant.

  • 1992

    Company name changed to Kawada Corporation.

  • 1993

    Flexible transfer Line establishment.

  • 1999

    Obtained QS9000/ISO9002 certifcation.

2000’s

  • 2000

    Newly installed tempering furnace manufactured by Daio Plant.

  • 2001

    Obtained ISO9001 certification.

  • 2002

    Obtained ISO14001 certification.

  • 2005

    Start of supply of Fusion chassis parts Ford (Mexico). Start of supply of front wheel hubs to Mitsubishi Motors Corp. Obtained TS16949 certification.

  • 2006

    Start of supply of Mustang chassis parts to Ford for (Canada).

  • 2007

    Installed five-axle machining, Okuma 800VH.

  • 2008

    Installed additional 5-stages automatic hot forging 2500t press.

  • 2009

    Obtained Ford Q-1 certification.

2010’s

  • 2011

    Introduction of 3G Hub, Hub Support full automatic line.

  • 2013

    Kawada MX S.A. de C.V. (Mexico) establishment. Prize winner of excellence in business performance by Mazda Corporation.

  • 2014

    Establishment of the line of Crankshaft in the plant of Mexico. We won the prefectural prize of the convention of submission of improvement quality circle Hiroshima No.5644.

  • 2015

    Start of supply of Crankshaft in the plant of Mexico.

  • 2016

    We won the prefectural prize of the convention of submission of improvement quality circle Hiroshima No.5844.

  • 2017

    2017 QC circle Chugoku-Shikoku Region chapter  Winners of the Silver Award in the year 2017 Convention. We won the Ishikawa Kaoru 2017 quality Circle Award.

  • 2018

    Prize winner of excellence in business performance by Mazda Corporation.
